Ruben, born and raised in Mexico, has been piercing professionally since 2004. After attending the APP’s first mexican conference in 2006, he was invited to volunteer and participate in Conference that same year in Vegas.
At this point he got the chance to work at some of the best shops around the U.S. for the next 6 years, working along side some of the best piercers in the industry. Even got to collaborate in Ron Garza’s Advance Piercing Techniques Freehand Videos (http://rongarza.com/ltd-productions.html) in two different volumes, that were released in both English and Spanish.
In 2012 he returns to Mexico to teach the Freehand class at that years APP Conference, followed by a teaching tour that extended through Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and ended up in the Netherlands with a workshop. After that he got to pierce in Norway and New Zealand, returned to Mexico and thought at the second LBP (Latin America Body Piercing) conference.
As of January of 2015, he owns the piercing side of Tia Juana Tattoo, in his hometown of Tijuana, where he is working on raising the standards, offering a safe and professional service, with quality implant grade jewelry.
Finally, he will be teaching a Freehand class in Brazil in October and will also be teaching again at this years LBP conference in November, in Mexico.
