Jack Rudy

Jack_RudyJack Rudy is well know as an artistic genius. Both in his tattoo work and paintings.

His tattoo history began in 1975 when he was taken under the tutelage of Good Time Charlie Cartwright and taught the fine art of tattooing. Charlie always says, “from early on he knew Jack was something special as an artist.”

While Jack & Charlie were “just doin their thing” in East Los Angeles, Fine Line Black & Grey tattooing was born into professional tattooing. A style, that at the time, was only being done in California prisons with crude tools and hand tap methods. Historically, this was the first new style to be introduced into tattooing since electric custom tattooing began.

In tattooing Jack is well know for his Black & Grey work, realistic portraits, “Rudy Girls,” and all sorts of different style custom pieces created for each person. After 35 years Jack still loves to tattoo and is going strong creating custom artwork all the time. He works by appointment only at Good Time Charlies Tattooland. You can also catch Jack on the road at conventions all over the world, and from time to time he does guest spots at several different shops. Jack also does commissioned artwork for show posters, flyer’s, portrait paintings and specialty pieces.
